Since 1956, the Hippocrates Health Institute has been the premiere
leader in the field of natural and alternative health care and education. Deemed
the world's number one medical spa in the year 2000 by Spa Management Group,
this historic and viable center was founded by visionary and humanitarian Ann
Wigmore
and is currently under the leadership of Brian
Clement.
The Institute has taught generations to draw from their vast inner resources the
power to transform the quality of their lives. The Institute's goal is to
reawaken the total consciousness within ourselves and allow us to realize that
good health and free will is every person’s birthright, and that a life free
of disease and needless pain is our human legacy. The Hippocrates philosophy is
dedicated to the belief that a pure enzyme-rich diet, complemented by positive
thinking and non-invasive therapies, are essential elements on the path to
optimum health.

Return to the Garden :
|
| Together with the brilliant mind of another kindred thinker, Viktoras Kulvinskas, they created a comprehensive institute in Boston, MA that taught people to draw from their vast inner resources the power to transform the quality of their lives. The commitment to this idea is embodied in what is now the Hippocrates Health Institute of West Palm Beach, FL. | ![]() |
Born
in Europe, Wigmore watched her grandmother treat wounded soldiers with grasses
during World War I. She came to the United States when she was still a child and
called on those memories in the 1950's when treating personal health problems.
Starting by treating her animals with wheatgrass, she sought expert opinion as
to the potential effects on humans.
The medical experts had no doubts about the beneficial qualities of wheatgrass.
Wigmore would go on to start a revolution in the world of nutrition that has
continued to grow to this day. Her name is synonomous with the history of a
health movement that has pushed alternative healthcare measures into the
forefront of U.S. and world consciousness. Brian Clement has continued the work
of Ann Wigmore and guided the Institute into an era that has seen America
embrace wheatgrass and the advent of holistic approaches to healthcare. Modern
research has established links between certain
foods and health risks.
Teaching
that one of the great tragedies of of the civilized world is the acceptance of
current dietary standards, Clement proposes a living-foods diet rich in vitamins,
minerals and proteins. The vegetarian regimen supplies the oxygen, enzymes,
alkalinity and bioelectrical charges vital to cellular health.
Hippocrates alumni include people from all walks of life who have benefited from
these teachings. They tell stories of recovery that were once considered
miraculous and today are becoming commonplace. As we enter the 21st century, the
power of the Hippocrates diet to change lives can be validated through
scientific research. The Hippocrates Health Institute is available to all
persons with health challenges, those who need to energize their lives, and
those who want to enjoy a state of vibrant well-being. Let the Hippocrates
Health Institute help you to return to the garden.
The union of Brian Clement and Hippocrates Health Institute, a 70 person
in-residence health facility is one of those events that altered the course of
modern health care. For over 25 years, Brian Clement has directed the
Institute's growth and development as well as facilitated the implementation of
such progressive health treatments as: the Living Food Diet, Wheatgrass Therapy,
Dark Field Microscopy, and the essentials of mind body therapies. It was in this
context that Brian Clement assumed the role of a health advocate, motivating a
very eager public to take action to improve their health and their lives, and in
many cases to save their life.

In
an effort to promote his progressive ideas, Brian has traveled extensively to
over 25 countries around the globe. This year alone he is conducting educational
programs in Portugal, Scotland, Sweden, England, Ireland and France as well as
many locations in the United States.
In recent years he has been commissioned by government supported organizations
to establish, organize and direct health centers in Denmark, Switzerland, Greece
and India. Brian has conducted countless seminars and lectures throughout North
America, including Canada. At home in the United States, he has taken the
message of this widely successful program to all fifty states.
Brian has also written seven books in which he explores the various aspects of
health, spirituality and natural healing. His most recent best selling book,
'Living Foods for Optimum Health', has been acclaimed by Marilyn Diamond, co-
author of 'Fit or Life' as "an important and eminently readable book for
the new era of self care," and by Coretta Scott King as "a landmark
guide to the essentials of healthy living". In response to the growing
public demand, he has produced an educational video series on the practical
application of Hippocrates Health Institute's Lifechange Program, the three week
detoxification and cleansing process that is recognized worldwide as Hippocrates'
signature program. In addition, Brian created the Hippocrates Health Educator
Program, a nine-week intensive instructional that certifies students to teach
the Hippocrates Living Foods Lifestyle, with graduates in over 12 countries.
His progressive ideas on natural health approaches, coupled with his vast
theoretical and practical scientific experience have earned him a reputation as
a leading expert in the natural health field. Brian's professional opinion is
highly regarded and much sought after; he is a frequent guest on television,
radio and in print, and acts as a resource expert for several publications.
Brian has also been recognized for his significant contribution in the field of
modern health care by "Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans".
Anna Maria Gahns-Clement embarked on her vocation as a practitioner of natural
health care when she assumed the directorship of Sweden's Brandal Health Center
in Stockholm, an internationally recognized and well-respected center for health
recovery. Her single minded pursuit in mastering her skills as a nutritionist,
iridologist, bodywork therapist, touch-for-health facilitator and nursing health
care provider served to enhance the instinctive qualities that a natural healer
such as she already possessed.
She founded the first living food organization in Scandinavia and was a member
of the Natural Health Care Coalition, a government supported effort in unifying
the field of complementary health care in her native Sweden.
For over twenty years she has been co-director and chief health administrator of
Hippocrates Health Institute situated originally in Boston, Massachusetts and
now located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Anna Maria Gahns Clement is considered
to be one of the leading experts in live blood cell analysis, a revolutionary
technique in the comprehensive assessment of a person's state of health. She
trained in this method under American Biologics in California and assisted their
medical staff in furthering their education in this field.
Anna Maria Gahns-Clement is the author of two books on the application of
natural health methods in family and children's care. She also collaborated in
creating a series of books about the Hippocrates Life-Change program. She
lectures extensively around the country as well as around the globe employing a
style uniquely her own, a down-to earth, sensible approach in teaching practical
methods that people can comfortably incorporate in their own lives.
As multi-faceted as her life is, the one role Anna Maria considers to be the
most important, the most challenging and, undoubtedly, the most enjoyable of all
is her role as mother to her four children whose perfect health is a tribute to
her and the Hippocrates lifestyle.

Hippocrates
: The Definition
Good health is the most valuable asset we can ever own. It generates positive
qualities like confidence, enthusiasm, vigor, and joyfulness--qualities that
enable us to achieve the life we desire.
Yet we all know that good health does not thrive by itself. Like all things of
great value, it needs to be tended, nurtured and cultivated with care. This
process can be both confusing and intimidating especially to those who rely
solely on hearsay and public information. (...)
Hippocrates staff are
accustomed to witnessing rapid improvement in the physical well-being of persons
suffering from cancer, leukemia, Parkinson's disease, hepatitis, chronic fatigue
syndrome, diabetes and a myriad of complaints. This improvement is heightened by
increased self-awareness and self-esteem as the clients learn to gain control of
their lives and take responsibility for choices related to their health.
